Water structures diagnosis

Municipal water and wastewater industries plan to invest millions of euros over the next decade to keep up with expected demand. Much of the money required goes for the rehabilitation of existing concrete structures that have suffered from bad designs and negligence due to the lack of funds.

Among the problems that affect the durability of concrete in water structures we have abrasion, chemical attack and freeze-thaw. These often forgotten actions can significantly reduce the life of the structures as you can see in the pictures of my latest on-site visit. Compare the fissure to the width of my ballpen.
